Phone numbers
Manage the numbers prescreening calls go out from
The Phones view shows every phone number your workspace owns. The number marked active is used for all outbound prescreening calls — a green indicator in the sidebar confirms a number is selected and ready.
Provisioning numbers
Filter available numbers by area code or region, then click + Provisionto purchase a number and register it for calling in one step. To remove a number, use the release action — released numbers are returned immediately and cannot be recovered.
Each number shows capability badges for Voice, SMS, and inbound/outbound support. Prescreening uses outbound voice.

SMS campaign registration
Before your organization can send SMS messages to patients, US carriers require A2P 10DLC campaign registration through Twilio. Bond Trials blocks outbound SMS automatically until registration is approved — any attempt to send before approval shows a red banner explaining the block.
To register your campaign in the Twilio console, you need to provide:
- Campaign use case — select
HealthcareorMixeddepending on the options Twilio presents for your brand. - Campaign description — describe the messaging purpose. Example: “AI-assisted SMS prescreening for clinical trial participant recruitment. Messages are sent to prospective participants to assess eligibility for specific research studies.”
- Privacy policy URL — link to your public privacy policy, which must explicitly state that SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties:
https://bond-trials-demo.vercel.app/docs/privacy - Terms of service URL — link to your SMS terms, which must cover message frequency, opt-out instructions, and message/data rates:
https://bond-trials-demo.vercel.app/docs/sms-terms - Sample messages — provide 2–3 realistic example messages, e.g.: “Hi, this is Bond Trials reaching out on behalf of [Hospital]. We're looking for participants for a study on [Condition]. Reply YES to learn more or STOP to opt out.”
- Opt-in method — explain how consent is collected. For Bond Trials, this is verbal consent obtained by a research coordinator before initiating an SMS conversation.
